Is Terrorism a Muslim Monopoly
Assalamu 'Alaikum waRahmatullahi waBarakatuh
All Praise Belongs to Allah (swt), and May the Salah and Salam of Allah (swt) be upon our beloved Messenger (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him).
We write to you to enlighten you on the issue of Terrorism. The events of 9/11 happened well over 8 years ago, but consistently the topic props up again and again trying to making us Muslims feel more ‘guilt stuck’ than we already do if as though collectively we are all responsible. We cannot conclude that it was indeed the Muslim ‘fundamentalists’ who were responsible for 9/11, an article during that period stated Jewish extremists being the culprits as many of the high ranking officials avoided going to work that day and others sold off their stocks! It has also been claimed that the US Government has orchestrated the attacks against their own citizens as a prerequisite to wage war against Islam. They do this to win over the hearts of the American people and to win over the minds of Muslims worldwide as has occurred to public westernised speakers .
What is rather sad is that we are never bombarded with articles and speeches by our Muslim brothers about the oppression and injustice committed by the West in Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Kashmir, Palestine, Somalia and elsewhere, nor do our speakers distinguish that whether it is the West doing all the killing directly or not, the bullets are funded and supplied by the Western powers. The death toll is quite possibly more than 3 million Muslims over the last two decades, an asian news channel reported how US soldiers gang raped a 14 year old iraqi girl, they took pictures of it, her eyes closed, they later killed her and her family and burnt them. This is one of thousands of incidences which go untold on mainstream news.
It’s altogether easy to believe news from CNN against Muslims is true though unfounded. If you travel through the East or in the lands of the alleged perpetrators you will get to know what was missing from the news stories. We should ask ourselves when will it be that our Muslim ‘representatives’ will be bold enough to debate the roots of the problem leading to so called Muslim ‘fundamentalist’ activity? Why is it that the likes of the former Mayor of London Ken Livingston has to speak up in our defence? In all this whenever we are tested by Allah (swt) we believe this is good for us as such instances separate the modernists from the ones who are firm upon their Aqeedah and follow Qur’an and Sunnah.
A question to ask is why would these people commit such attacks and target the World Trade Centre? A country is as powerful as its economic trade. And economic trade fuels its military might, which in turn ensures its status to govern and rule over a country. Money can become scarce but through trading and commerce a government can generate more wealth and buy more weaponry and sustain a war. To make one of these factors collapse therefore is to destabilise a part of the triangle, a method practiced by US, UK, Israel and others. This is the perception that we conceive as to why target the Trade Centre, and in War there is casulty in both sides. This is the centre point which logic may conclude funds the atrocities, we have all witnessed for years in many countries by the hands of the Western military, and funds US military bases all over the world including Saudi Arabia, a presence which causes disunity between the people of those lands. Is democracy more just than the law of Allah swt? Would the Rightly guided Caliphs permit this Big Brother style bases, a state within a state to govern the muslim and mankind under man made law (this is clearly a dangerous issue within Aqeedah)?
We however ourselves do not promote Terrorism nor support Terrorism, and if labelled extreme, then like Dr Zakir Naik states in acknowledgement yes we are extreme- "Extremely kind, Extremely Generous, Extremely courteous,.....And George Bush is the Biggest Terrorist". If we are merciful towards mankind Allah (swt) will be merciful towards us. We will like to enlighten you with a good speech by Dr. Zakir Naik on this topic in this 4 part video entitled "Is Terrorism a Muslim Monopoly?" which we found very interesting. Also if you want to know about Taliban listen to video 1 below in the "other interesting videos", you will hear of what you heard not.

Some benefits of Ajwa
They are the best of dates, small, chewy and give lots of energy!
It was heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying
- "He who eats seven 'Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them." Bukhari
- "If somebody takes some 'Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night." (Another narrator said seven dates). Bukhari
- "He who ate seven 'ajwa' dates in the morning, poison and magic will not harm him on that day." Muslim
- The Ajwa dates is from Jannah and in it is a cure from poison (Tirmidhi and Ibne Maja).
- The 'ajwa' dates of 'Aliya' contain heating effects and these are antidote in the early morning.
It was also advised to me to eat 7 dates each morning as a cure for Magic, Hasad, or even Jinn problem. AlHamdolillah, now I just enjoy them!

The Rulings and Etiquettes for Eid
`Eid, in Islam, is a day of joy, thanksgiving, worship, brotherhood, solidarity, and morality. A Muslim should take the advantage of this day to bring himself nearer to Allah, Most High.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Every nation has its festival, and this is your festival.” Here, he referred to the fact that these two `Eids are exclusively for the Muslims.
The Muslims have no festivals apart from `Eidul-Fitr and `Eidul-Adha. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Al-Madinah, the people of Madinah used to have two festivals. On those two days they had carnivals and festivity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the Ansar (the Muslims of Madinah) about it. They replied that before Islam they used to have carnivals on those two joyous days. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) told them: "Instead of those two days, Allah has appointed two other days which are better, the days of `Eidul-Fitr and `Eidul-Adha." (Reported by Abu Dawud)
Today could be our last fast and as such the great rewards that can be gained in this month will also come to an end, please donate towards our Feed The Fasting Campaign - www.justgiving.com/feedthefasting
Rulings of `Eid
1. Fasting:
It is haram to fast on the days of `Eid because of the hadith of Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) in which he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha. (Reported by Muslim)
2. Offering `Eid Prayers:
Some of the scholars say that `Eid Prayers are Wajib (obligatory) – this is the view of the Hanafi scholars and of Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah.
Some scholars say that `Eid Prayer is Fard Kifayah (a communal duty, binding on the Muslims as a group, and it is fulfilled if a sufficient number of people perform it, thereby absolving the rest of sin). This is the view of the Hanbalis.
A third group say that `Eid Prayer is Sunnah Mu'akkadah. This is the view of the Malikis and Shafi`is.
3. Offering Supererogatory Prayers:
There are no Supererogatory Prayers to be offered either before or after the `Eid Prayer, as Ibn `Abbas reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come out on the day of `Eid and pray two Rak`ahs, with nothing before or after them. This is the case if the Prayer is offered in an open area. If, however, the people pray the `Eid Prayer in a mosque, then they should pray two Rak`ahs for Tahiyat Al-Masjid.
4. Women attending the `Eid Prayers:
According to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) everyone is urged to attend `Eid Prayer, and to co-operate with one another in righteousness and piety. The menstruating woman should not forsake the remembrance of Allah or places of goodness such as gatherings for the purpose of seeking knowledge and remembering Allah – apart from mosques. Women, undoubtedly, should go out dressed appropriately (without adorning themselves with make up, perfume etc).
Whoever prays at night in Ramadaan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven
We still have a few nights ahead of us!!
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever prays at night in Ramadaan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 37; Muslim, 759.
This hadeeth is indicative of the virtue of praying qiyaam in Ramadaan, and shows that this is one of the means of forgiveness of sin. Whoever prays Taraaweeh as it should be prayed has prayed at night (qiyaam al-layl) in Ramadaan.
Forgiveness is conditional upon “faith and hope of reward,” as stated here.
What is meant by “faith” - is that when the person stands to pray qiyaam, he believes in Allaah, may He be exalted, and believes in His promise and in the virtue of praying qiyaam, and in the greatness of its reward with Allaah.
What is meant by “Hope of reward” - mans that he is seeking the reward from Allaah and is not doing it for any other purpose such as showing off, etc.

Don’t forget the Akhirah
Just a quick reminder, when making duaa - don’t forget to not only to ask for the good things in this life, but to also ask for good in the life to come…
As Allah says in Surat al-Baqara, 200-202:
“... There are some people who say, ‘Our Lord, give us good in this world.’ (Then) they will have no share in the Hereafter.
And there are others who say, ‘OUR LORD, GIVE US GOOD IN THIS WORLD, AND GOOD IN THE HEREAFTER, AND SAFEGUARD US FROM THE PUNISHMENT OF THE FIRE.’ (Rabana atina fiduniya hasanata, wa fil akhirati hasanata, wa qi na athaaban naar)
They (are the ones who) will have a good share from what they have earned. Allah is swift at reckoning.”
Let us be of those who ask for both.
We only have a few days of Ramadan left and as we get closer to the end of ramadan – so will the great blessings of this month (as compared to others) will too come to an end! So let us make the most of these remaining days - as we do not know if we will get to see it next year. Allahu Alam.
Please support us help your brothers and sisters by feeding them in these last few days of Ramadan - www.justgiving.com/feedthefasting
